TSA Group gets carbon neutral status

Western Australia’s TSA Group has been certified as the first carbon neutral operator in the contact centre outsourcing sector.

Western Australia’s TSA Group has been certified as the first carbon neutral operator in the contact centre outsourcing sector. TSA provides services to notable Australian brands including Telstra, Alinta Energy and JB Hi-Fi from a network of call centres in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne, as well as in the Philippines. Its carbon neutral status was confirmed by government-backed regulator Climate Active, following an audit by building services and sustainability consultant Cundall. TSA chief executive Luke Kenny said the certification was a significant milestone for the business. “Our role when providing customer experience solutions for our clients is to connect consumers to some of the biggest brands in Australia, many of whom are well advanced in their own carbon neutral journey,” he said. “Achieving carbon neutral status demonstrates our desire to reflect our clients’ values as they also strive for sustainable business practices. “For us, it’s also a process of realigning our own thinking to become more sustainable.” TSA’s first carbon neutral initiatives began five years ago when it made changes to daily operations at its Australian call centres, including the implementation of ‘green initiatives’ to minimise the use of office consumables such as computers and printers.

The business is reducing its footprint further via the purchase of Australian Community Carbon Credits (ACCU).
