We are proudly carbon neutral

As a large Australian business, we need to lead from the front and be the change we want to see in the world.

TSA Goes Carbon Neutral

Why we’ve gone carbon neutral

Climate change is happening and we need to act. There is power in every decision we make. We are awake to the impact we have on the world, and we are committed to doing our part to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Reducing our impact on the environment

Embarking on the carbon neutral journey has allowed us to understand our impact on the environment and take a leadership role in decarbonising the Australian economy. Understanding our carbon footprint allows us to implement strategies to reduce our overall impact, including reducing waste across our sites, identifying energy savings, and engaging our employees in actions to reduce our carbon footprint.

Offsetting our emissions

We have chosen to invest in projects which would assist fire management, work to regenerate ecosystems, improve biodiversity and support Australian communities. As part of our broader supplier diversity commitments, we choose to support projects that make a direct contribution to Indigenous community engagement and employment opportunities.

By purchasing carbon credits from premium local projects here in Australia, TSA hopes to provide an environmental, social and cultural benefit.

The premium credits we purchased come from the Aboriginal Carbon Foundation, and support projects such as cultural savanna burnings by traditional owners, which prevents large bushfires and the subsequent release of carbon.

Another reforestation project reintroduces native flora and fauna to the land in areas where it has been overgrazed. It gives us a tangible, and almost touchable, connection with the programs we’re supporting.
