In the evolving world of work, where diversity and inclusion are more than buzzwords, TSA Group is committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace. Central to this commitment is understanding the unique challenges faced by various members of the community. One such challenge is the alarming struggle many women in Australia face in accessing essential period products.

Last month, The Guardian reported that almost two-thirds of young women in Australia were struggling to afford period products, due to soaring inflation and cost of living pressures,” shared Zahra Peggs, Chief People Officer at TSA Group.

These figures represent more than numbers; they echo a genuine struggle that affects millions of women across the nation. The lack of access to period products is not just a concern for personal hygiene; it’s a complex issue intertwining safety, comfort, dignity, and equality.

Zahra elaborated, “Having ready access to period products is essential for our safety, hygiene, and comfort, including in the workplace, which is why it was a no-brainer when my colleague, Kate Twigley, suggested we implement For My Sisters period care supply system. It’s simple, effective, and there’s absolutely no shame involved in using it.

TSA Group’s support for For My Sisters is not only about addressing immediate needs. It symbolises a broader effort to break down societal taboos and stigmas associated with natural biological processes. By placing period products alongside everyday necessities like water, soap, and tissues, TSA Group aims to create a ripple effect that encourages other organisations to follow suit.

This approach epitomises TSA Group’s broader mission for an inclusive environment, reflecting values of empathy, innovation, and leadership. It’s more than a corporate stance; it’s a call to action for a more compassionate society, embodying the belief that understanding and care should be at the heart of everything they do.
