From hospitality to sales, retail to leadership: a career can start anywhere

At TSA Group, we know great people come from all walks of life. Some of us joined straight out of school, others from hospitality, retail, healthcare, education, and beyond. What brings us together is a shared drive to learn, grow, and make a difference through every conversation.

We recently caught up with team members who joined us within the past year to learn what they were doing before, and how things have changed since.

 

 

A lot can change in a year.

Last year, Jamie was working in bars across the UK while travelling through Europe. Since joining our telecommunications team, he’s found stability, structure, and a workplace that keeps him motivated and engaged.

“I’ve made a lot of new friends through TSA Group, and there’s a strong community for sure. Having a full-time role has helped me find balance and stay disciplined with my health and mindset. Last year I was travelling and figuring things out, but this year it’s about building stability and progressing my skills.”

Jefferson, now part of our home appliances team, didn’t have to travel far to find his new beginning.

“I was actually working just next door. TSA Group had always been on my radar. I had former colleagues who had already made the move and spoke highly of the culture and opportunities. But as someone who values commitment, I held off until the timing was right. Once the project I was working on closed, I knew it was my chance to finally pursue a role at TSA Group.

Fast forward to today, I can confidently say I’ve found a place where I can grow. The environment is supportive, the leadership is empowering, and the people are genuinely kind. I feel like I’m part of something meaningful, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.”

And then there’s Rhia. After nearly a decade in early childhood education, she was ready for a new challenge. She wanted to step outside her comfort zone and see what else was possible. Now part of our tourism team, she’s discovering how her people skills translate beautifully into customer experience.

“This time last year, I was in the UK working with children, which was a career I’d been in for eight years. It was something I loved, but because I’d done it from such a young age, I wanted to try something new where I could learn new skills and progress.

I was very open in my interview that I didn’t have much customer service experience, but I’ve always worked with people and had the right attitude. TSA Group helped me get one foot in the marketing world with training and consistent support. Now I’m confident and keen to keep learning.”
